Pre-order & Payments
Understand what you're purchasing, how payments are confirmed, when access becomes available, and how refunds are handled.
What a pre-order is
A pre-order is a purchase of future LocalDesk product access. It is not immediate access to the completed product: LocalDesk is completing its final production build, and your access opens at the time your account shows.
A pre-order is for LocalDesk. It isn't an investment, an ownership interest, or a right to any feature that checkout doesn't state, and it doesn't buy ownership of, a license to, or early access to Orbit AGI, LocalDesk's separate intelligence research initiative, unless checkout expressly says so.
These rules form part of the Terms of Service. Each pre-order is governed by the terms shown when it was placed.
Plans and pricing
| Plan | For | Listed price | Paid at checkout |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pro | Individual users | $20 / month | 20 USDT, once |
| Builder | Developers and solo founders | $100 / month | 100 USDT, once |
| Founder | Founders and startup teams | $250 / month | 250 USDT, once |
Plans and prices are shown before you pay. Each plan is listed with a monthly price, and a pre-order is one payment of that amount, made at checkout. Nothing renews automatically, and LocalDesk never charges you again without a new purchase. If LocalDesk offers recurring billing in the future, it will show the amount and frequency and ask for your express consent before any recurring charge.
How the amount is set. Prices are set in US dollars. LocalDesk requests a plan's dollar price as the same number of USDT, plus a small unique amount of less than 0.01 USDT that identifies your payment. No exchange rate is applied, and LocalDesk adds no other charge. The exact amount in your payment request is the amount you pay.
Network fees. You pay the blockchain network's fee for sending your transfer. It isn't part of the price, and LocalDesk doesn't receive it.
Receipts. Once your payment is confirmed, you can download a pre-order receipt. It confirms your payment; it isn't a tax invoice.
Crypto payments
Crypto-friendly by design. We believe customers should have clear choices in how they pay for software. LocalDesk supports cryptocurrency payments through the networks and assets displayed at checkout.
- Asset
- USDT (Tether USD)
- Networks
- Ethereum (ERC-20) or BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20)
- Destination
- LocalDesk's receiving address, shown in your payment request with a QR code.
- Request valid for
- 60 minutes from when it's issued.
- Completed when
- Your transfer is verified on its network, reaches the confirmations LocalDesk requires, and your order is recorded as paid.
There's no payment processor in between: you send USDT from your own wallet directly to LocalDesk's receiving address, and we verify the transfer on the blockchain. Only the assets and networks above are accepted.
How a payment is processed
- You choose a plan and a network. Checkout issues a payment request with the exact amount, the network, the receiving address, and its expiry.
- You send exactly that amount of USDT, on that network, to that address, before the request expires, by hand or from a connected browser wallet.
- We detect your transfer and verify it on the blockchain.
- Once it reaches the network's required confirmations, your order is marked paid. Your account shows each stage.
Send exactly what the request shows. Use only USDT, only on the network your payment request names, only the exact amount shown, and only to the address shown. Never pay a request that has expired, or reuse an amount from an earlier one: start a new request instead. A blockchain transfer on its own is not a completed purchase until LocalDesk's verification confirms it, and a transaction hash isn't proof of payment by itself.
Transfers are final on chain. Blockchain transactions generally can't be reversed once confirmed, so check the asset, network, amount, and address before you send. Crypto payments don't carry the chargeback protections that card payments may have. That technical finality never by itself removes a refund you're entitled to (Cancellations and refunds).
If something doesn't match. A transfer of a different amount, a transfer sent after the request expires, or a second payment for the same pre-order doesn't complete or change your order. LocalDesk records it for review, and you can request a refund. While your request is still open, sending the exact amount still completes it.
Unsupported assets and networks. Transfers of any other asset, or on any other network, aren't recognized as payment. LocalDesk will review a request to return them, but recovery may not be possible and isn't guaranteed.
Browser wallets. If you pay with a connected browser wallet, LocalDesk prepares a single transfer from your payment request for you to approve in your wallet. LocalDesk never holds your wallet's keys and can't move funds without your approval.
Confirmation, access, and availability
A pre-order moves through four separate stages. Your account shows where yours stands.
- Payment confirmed
- Your transfer reaches the required confirmations and your order is marked paid. Your account shows your Pre-order ID.
- Pre-order recorded
- Your plan is recorded on your account as a confirmed pre-order.
- Access activates
- 7 days (168 hours) after your payment is confirmed, your account's access becomes active. Your account shows the exact time.
- Apps available
- LocalDesk's apps are targeted to be downloadable from January 1, 2027. This is a target, not a guaranteed date: until the apps are released, active access doesn't include a downloadable app.
When the apps are released, members with active access download them from LocalDesk's Download page while signed in. Availability depends on payment confirmation, your account, a supported device, and the release schedule. A pre-order never means instant access.
Delays. If availability is materially delayed beyond an announced target, LocalDesk will say so publicly and explain your options, including keeping your pre-order or requesting a refund. A target is never moved quietly.
Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel a pre-order and request a refund as set out below. These rights are in addition to any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing in this policy limits those rights.
- Before access opens. Until LocalDesk access officially opens, you can request a refund of the amount you paid for your pre-order.
- If LocalDesk misses the access target. If access doesn't open by the announced target, you choose: keep your pre-order and wait for access, or request a refund of the amount you paid. The target is never moved quietly: if it is missed, LocalDesk says so publicly.
- After access opens. Refunds and cancellations follow LocalDesk's published general Terms, the terms of your plan and any mandatory consumer law that applies to you.
- Withdrawal rights. If the law where you live gives you a right to withdraw from a purchase, such as the 14-day right of consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom, you can use it as that law provides.
- Duplicate and incorrect payments. A second payment, a wrong amount or a late transfer never activates anything. Once LocalDesk has verified it, it is refunded on request.
- Payments in cryptocurrency. Before sending a refund, LocalDesk verifies the original payment, your LocalDesk account and, where necessary, the wallet the refund goes to. Refunds are sent by a supported, reasonable method, and blockchain network fees may not be refundable. LocalDesk never sends a refund to a wallet address on the strength of a message alone.
How to request one. A refund request should include the email address of your LocalDesk account and, if you have it, your payment's transaction hash. A person at LocalDesk reviews every request; refunds are not automatic or instant.
When a pre-order is refunded, its access ends.
Founding pre-orders
The Founding Pre-order was a pre-order of LocalDesk's Founder ($100) or Developer ($250) offer during Mehrad vs Internet, LocalDesk's 72-hour founding event. It is a pre-order for future LocalDesk product access, not immediate access to the completed product. The event is closed.
- The event ran from October 7, 2026, 10:30 UTC (14:00 Tehran) to October 10, 2026, 10:30 UTC (14:00 Tehran).
- An eligible pre-order whose payment was confirmed during the event received a permanent Founding ID, a Founder Card, Mission submission access, a personal referral link, Founding cohort status and the Founder Benefit for its plan. There were at most 25,000 Founding IDs.
- When the event closed, one shared 168-hour final-build window began for every Founder at once, with an announced access target of October 17, 2026, 10:30 UTC (14:00 Tehran).
The Founder Benefit
Each Founder receives complimentary LocalDesk product access, by plan:
- Founder ($100): 14 months.
- Developer ($250): 16 months.
It applies from 6 months after the Founding event closes, on April 10, 2027. Your Founding number never changes its length: every Founder on the same plan receives the same. It is LocalDesk product access, not cash, equity or an investment return.
Future payment methods
Today, checkout accepts only the cryptocurrency payments described above. Card payments through Stripe are planned, and they aren't available yet. Until a payment method appears at checkout, it can't be used, and no planned method is part of a purchase made today. No partnership with Stripe or any card network is implied.
Earlier pre-orders
Pre-orders placed under LocalDesk's Pre-order Terms of October 7, 2026 keep those terms. This policy carries their rules for Founding pre-orders, the Founder Benefit, and refunds.
